ROM Mobile Galaxy S2 T989 – ROM  Android 4.4.4 SlimKat

Update SlimKat Version Stable Build 8.0 SLIM – 09/22/2014

ROM install :

Connect your Galaxy S2 T989 to PC using USB cable.

Copy downloaded zip file to the SD card of your phone. Important: Don’t extract any file.

Disconnect USB and then turn off your phone.

Boot into recovery mode. To boot into recovery, first turn off your device and then boot into bootloader. Once you are in bootloader navigate “Recovery Mode” using volume keys and then select it using Power button.

Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.

Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.

Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the 14678-slim-hercules-4-4-4-build-8-0-official-6919.zip file that you copied earlier in Step 2 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next screen. The ROM installation will begin.

Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 7 but choose slim-mini-gapps-4-4-4-build-6-112 (http://www.needrom.com/mobile/gapps-slimroms/) instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.

When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot the smartphone and boot up into customized SlimKat Android 4.4.4 ROM. The first boot will take time, so be patient!

Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.

Install ROM:

1.Connect your phone to PC using USB cable.

2.Copy downloaded files to the SD card of your phone. Important: Don’t extract any files.

3.Disconnect USB and then turn off your phone.

4.Now, boot into ClockworkMod recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Power and Home buttons together until the Samsung logo comes up. You will see ClockworkMod recovery screen soon. Use Volume keys to browse between options in recovery while Power key to select an option. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.

5.Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.

8.Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 7 but choose the Slim_minimal_gapps.4.4.2.build.3.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.

9.When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot the phone and boot up into customized Android 4.4.2 ROM SlimKat. The first boot will take time, so be patient!

10.Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.

First download my rom and download the fix given below. Open the file you just downloaded and you will get settings.apk in it, copy it on desktop and close the package. Now open the package of xperia-duos and go to /system/app and drag the settings.apk from the desktop in the archive, it may ask you to overwrite something then say yes. Now you have a rom ready to be flashed.

ROM Installation process:
1) FULL WIPE is highly recommended!
2) Go to CWM based recovery (PhilzTouch Recovery in recommended) by holding HOME – POWER – and VOL UP BUTTON
3) Choose "Install ZIP from sdcard"

5) Go through Aroma Installer and select, what you want
6) Wait for finishing flashing
7) Reboot and enjoy Galaxy S5

Cyanogenmod 11 Android Kitkat 4.4.2 for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (without Gapps)

Step 1 - your tab must be rooted before you proceed . Rooting process pls refer to this link : http://androidxda.com/root-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-p5100 . I attached Odin307 zip file ,cf-autoroot and samsung usb drivers for your convenient.

Step 2 - install recovery using TWRP or CWH . Here I prefer Odin method as it is easy for beginers. The other method is using fastboot mode on pc flashing recovery image .Installation method pls refer to this link :http://www.android.gs/install-twrp-recovery-for-the-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-inch-wi-fi-and-3g-models/.After flashing into recovery pls proceed to backup your existing rom , select data ,system,recovery,boot and EFS to backup.

Step 3 – After backup you are ready to flash any new rom . Move the downloaded  cm-11-20141119-NIGHTLY-p5100zip file and gapps-kk-20140105-signed zip to sdcard . Reboot your tab into TWRP recovery , select "install", choose the zip file to flash .The first boot takes few minutes but be patient . Then you are done with new rom. If you wish to install Gapps then boot into recovery again and repeat the process.

Official Android Slim Kitkat Version 4.4.2 (without Gapps) for GT-P5100 only

This rom is flashed by sdcard using recovery . Your tab must be rooted and TWRP installed.

Installing recovery : http://www.android.gs/install-twrp-recovery-for-the-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-inch-wi-fi-and-3g-models

Backup existing rom to prevent anything happen flashing this rom .

Boot into recovery manually(pressing power button and volume up button simultaneously) or installed rebooter from Google Play Store .

TWRP->Do factory reset ->wipe cache->wipe dalvik cache . Go to Install-> select zip to flash(downloaded and moved to root directory of sdcard).

If you wish to install Gapps then boot into recovery again and repeat the process.

Installing TWRP :    http://www.androidegis.com/how-to/install-twrp-recovery-on-galaxy-note-2-n7100-how-to/

This rom is  multilanguange and without Gapps . Samsung Apps and unusable apps removed .

Download flashable zip file and Gapps zip file and move to root directory of your sdcard .

Go to TWRP home screen ,backup your existing rom(select data,system,boot,recovery and EFS ).

Then go to Wipe ->run factory reset->Advanced Wipe->wipe cahce and dalvik cahce .

Go to Install -> select cm-11-20141116-NIGHTLY-n7100 zip file to flash .

The first reboot takes few minutes but patient .

If you wish to install Gapps you need to boot into recovery mode again  and select Gapps zip file to flash .

Recommended apps for Samsung devices is Quick Reboot(root) from Google Play Store . The apps got more reboot option to select including downloadmode and recovery mode.
